Our nation is calling for us to work together to support each other through this economic storm. We have no doubt that America will emerge stronger than ever. However, a critical step in achieving that goal is to ensure that small businesses have the skills they need not only to survive, but thrive. It is small businesses that provide two-thirds of the jobs in this country; and in our hometown, Austin.

BiGAUSTIN can help—if you partner with us. BiGUASTIN is a non-profit organization that assists small businesses with comprehensive education, tailored business counseling and flexible loans. To meet the growing need created by recent layoffs affecting thousands of people in Austin and surrounding areas, BiGAUSTIN has created a special version of its class, “Do You Have What it Takes?.” This class is designed to help recently laid off people assess their skills to help turn those abilities into entrepreneurship. In addition, we have classes to train people in starting the road to successful entrepreneurship and money to set them up with SBA loans. We also have classes to help established businesses take their entrepreneurship to the next level.

We can only meet the needs of people if you help by underwriting a class at the levels listed below. If you can’t underwrite a class, then perhaps you can sponsor a table at BiGAUSTIN’S BiG | idea Day Luncheon on Friday, April 17 2009. If not that, then perhaps you can make a donation to provide a scholarship for someone in need to take a class at BiGAUSTIN. Or you can simply make a donation to support the work of BiGAUSTIN or buy tickets to the BiG | idea Day lunch on Friday, Aril 17 2009.
